With an improved battery life of up to 500 days and dust and water resistance up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes, the Galaxy SmartTag2 keeps track of your valuables and helps you control various IoT devices with a single tap. Thanks to Compass View and Search Nearly Find, the Galaxy SmartTag2's NFC (Near Field Communication) displays contact information and a message on the found smartphone, regardless of its operating system. Activate Search Nearly and get intuitive instructions via Compass View. If you still can't see it, ask the SmartTag2 to call you via Ring Your Tag. It's easy to attach and carry, durable, and gives you remote access to your IoT devices. It stays powered on for up to 500 days, or 40% longer when using power-saving mode. IoT devices must be registered within the SmartThings app for features to function correctly. When the device is in power-saving mode, access to some features, such as Search Nearby, IoT device control, and others, may be unavailable, except for the basic Find My Bluetooth function. For the Galaxy SmartTag2, you need to sign in with your Samsung account and register the device in the SmartThings Find app. Compass View requires a Galaxy smartphone that supports Ultra Wideband (UWB) and runs Android 11 or later. The availability of Compass View may vary depending on the operating system version, connected device, or country. Contact information and a message must be pre-registered in the SmartThings app to be displayed on the finder's device in Lost Mode. The finder's device must support NFC and be connected to the internet to display the previously registered contact information when the tag is placed. One replaceable CR2032 battery per unit. Galaxy devices (smartphones, tablets) running Android OS 11 (P OS) or later / Galaxy devices with UWB technology are required to access UWB features. The connection range is up to 120 meters.
